” Hermosa Hills is a real gem located in its own little piece of the Costa Rican Rainforest. Our family just stayed here last week and we loved every minute. We are fortunate to travel extensively, and to experience many different beautiful places, and this vacation definitely exceeded our expectations and tops our list of most beautiful places we have visited. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by our lovely host – Tandy guided us on a tour of our brand new villa and explained everything about the property and the surrounding areas. The photos on the website are really nice, but they don’t accurately transmit the beauty of, and just how spectacular these villas are. It’s quite impossible to even describe in words. Every detail has been though of, and we really felt special. The location of the villa that we stayed in is situated at the top of a hill overlooking the jungle and the ocean. It was just breathtaking, and the sunsets are incredible! The property is huge, private, and there is a direct pathway to the beach which is just brilliant. The house itself is uniquely designed; An open concept with spacious bedrooms and open central living area with a state of the art kitchen that is fully equipped. You’ll never need more. Our villa even had Japanese bowls with chopsticks in the event that you’re up for some cold Somen noddles with the fresh tuna. There literally wasn’t a thing that we needed and could not find. There are three villas in total on the property, which is great if you ever travel with friends, extended family, for a special occasion, wedding etc. Tandy, prepared a list of recommend restaurants to eat as the variety of different dining options in Santa Teresa is great. From fresh seafood, sushi, a delicious burger place, to a fish taco restaurant the our kids would dine at for every meal if offered the chance. As you would expect in Costa Rica, other activities and adventures are abundant. Everything she recommended was simply outstanding. Our three boys had so much fun surfing the many different breaks, and they even had their first diving class in our pool before diving in the ocean for the first time. What a great experience! Other nearby activities include an awesome zip-line nearby, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, or just hiking or going for a run along the beach. There’s so much to do that one week isn’t enough to cover all the activities this place has to offer. We are definitely coming back! ” Our week long stay at Villa Gabo was nothing short of fantastic. Tandy and her husband JC were extremely communicative in the weeks and days leading up to our stay and even offered to stock the fridge with essentials that we might need the first night in case we didn’t get around to a grocery store right away. We have two young kids so milk was our first priority – when we arrived at the villa there were 3 kinds of milk in the fridge! There was also a large fruit bowl full of fresh tropical fruit for us, it was such a nice surprise. The day we arrived, their manager Oscar met us in town and led us to the villa as the roads are unmarked and quite windy/bumpy which we appreciated so much as I was nervous about having to find the villa on our own. Oscar was so friendly and pleasant, he made himself available all week to answer any questions or solve any problems that arose such as power outages/Internet outages (not isolated to the villa itself but the entire sector), ceiling lights/fans not working etc. One afternoon at JC’s suggestion he even brought out the owners’ horses for us to ride around the corral near the villa, a real highlight for me! The cleaners were also so friendly and hardworking, the same two ladies came every day and made the villa spotless from top to bottom. The villa itself is beautifully and comfortable appointed, very spacious for a family of 4. The kitchen is definitely a chef’s kitchen; I cooked 2 out of 3 meals a day during our stay and found everything I needed stocked in the kitchen, from spices, sauces, tools to utensils. The pool was salt water with a perfect view of the jungle and the ocean, we swam in that beautiful pool every day. The bedrooms each had an AC unit which was so nice given the warm temperatures at this time of year and the strong sun coming through the windows at midday. The binder of restaurant recommendations and things to do around Hermosa Hills were spot on, we found some real gems out in Santa Teresa and planned a couple of exciting excursions based on their suggestions. This holiday was our best family vacation yet and much of it had to do with the villa so thank you very much Tandy and JC! We will definitely look to come back in the future, perhaps this time with extended family . “

” The photos do not do this amazing house justice. Yes, the house is elegant and stylish, as in the photos, but there is so much more. For one, the location. The house is snuggled in the jungle for maximum privacy, but with a lovely view of the ocean and incredible sunsets. There are curiously almost no mosquitos, but plenty of wildlife: one morning we had a capuchin monkey casually visit the deck and try to sneak around us to steal some fruit from the open air kitchen. The house itself is perfectly laid out. There’s a magnificent view – water, jungle, both – from everywhere you sit or stand. Plenty of nooks for reading or game playing, a well-equipped kitchen, super comfortable beds and delicious rain showers. The pool appears to be the perfect temperature at all times, slightly cooler in the day and delightfully warm at night if you just want to float and watch the stars. A seven minute path leads through the jungle right to the beach for those who like a little hiking, and spotting the howler monkeys that hang in nearby trees. The groundskeeper and the managers are kind and helpful and there if you need them – but are in no way obtrusive. They can also set up a whole lot of fun: from surfing lessons to sunset horseback rides, ATV’s to a waterfall and zip line- anything you may think of they seem to be able to deliver. Needless to say- if you book this house you may have to do it around OUR schedule, for we can’t think of a better place to vacation. “
